Christmas Bakes
I know, I know it’s not Christmas anymore, however I spent my time and money to create these bakes, but never got time to bake them all in time for Christmas… so that’s why I’m here now, with a late Christmas bakes post. So, here are some fun Christmas Bake ideas, if you feel like doing some imaginative bakes to keep Christmas alive, or just hold these ideas til next year, (I swear next year I’ll be more prepared) keep on reading.
First all of, my mum makes a Christmas Cake every year she likes to decorate, so I thought I would photograph it and include it. It’s a simplistic design but very effective. She also sprinkled a bit of edible glitter on top (not that it picks up in the photos) just for the finishing touch.
Moving swiftly on now to my creative bakes, starting with my two styles of cupcakes, one more for the kids and one for the adults. You can use any cake batter or icing for this. They are simple but effective.
Next up, we have my biscuit bakes.
I made some gingerbread biscuits and decorated them, simple and the reindeer was an oreo that I covered in milk chocolate and decorated. Both simple but effective. You can also turn the gingerbread into a tree shape by building it up, much like I have in these pictures, but taller.
Finally I had my white chocolate trees, which are just melted chocolate decorated. One I made more solid while the other was zigzagged and therefore more delicate. These were once again uncomplicated and easy to do. Just melt some chocolate, place some greaseproof paper down and some sticks and use a spoon or other utensil to dress the sticks with the melted chocolate and voilà.
There we go, that is all the bakes I got round to making this time for Christmas/New Year, next year I’ll make sure I’m better prepared and maybe not try to do everything all at once.
Thank you for having a read, and Happy New Year to you all! This is my last post of 2018, so I wish you all a happy and healthy 2019. I’ll see you all on Wednesday for a new post.
Hope you all enjoyed it, or it inspired you to bake. It was a lot of fun to creative.
ONE HOUR TO GO TIL 2019!
